McMillan’s Customer Appreciation Sale is happening now through Saturday, October 3, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. If you have been waiting to shop plants, fruit trees, fall home décor, clothing, shoes, or early Christmas favorites, this is the weekend to stop by.

A Thank-You Sale for the Community That Has Supported McMillan’s for 27 Years

McMillan’s Nursery & Gifts has been part of the Bogalusa community for 27 years, and this sale is exactly what the name says: a thank-you. We are grateful for the customers who shop with us, recommend us to friends, bring family through our doors, vote for us in local awards, and continue choosing a locally owned business for their homes, gardens, gifts, and special occasions.

That support has helped McMillan’s become much more than a place to buy a plant. Our customers recently recognized us in local Readers’ Choice voting for Best Garden Center & Nursery, Best Home Décor, Best Gift Shop, and Best Women’s Shoes. Those categories say a lot about what makes McMillan’s different: you can come in looking for something for the yard and leave with something for your home, your closet, or someone on your gift list.

If you have searched for a garden center in Bogalusa, LA, a local plant nursery, a gift shop, a women’s boutique, fall décor, or a place to shop locally in Washington Parish, this week is an especially good time to see what we have in store.

20% Off Plants at Our Bogalusa Garden Center

Plants are 20% off during the Customer Appreciation Sale. Our nursery inventory changes with the season, so the selection you see in fall looks different from spring and summer. That is part of shopping a real local garden center: the inventory follows the growing season and what works for our area.

Throughout the year, McMillan’s carries trees, shrubs, bedding plants, vegetable plants, houseplants, tropicals, and other seasonal plant material. We also stock the practical side of gardening and landscaping, including soils, mulches, pine straw, chemicals, and other supplies for flower beds and outdoor projects.

If your porch needs fresh color, a flower bed has an empty spot, or your landscaping could use another layer before cooler weather settles in, come walk through the nursery while the sale is active. Inventory moves quickly during a sale, and the best selection will be available earlier rather than later.

$15 Fruit Trees Through Saturday

One of the biggest deals of the sale is on fruit trees: $15 each.

For customers searching for fruit trees in Bogalusa, Louisiana, this is a chance to shop locally and talk with people who understand our climate and the kinds of questions Louisiana gardeners actually ask. Whether you are adding to an established yard or starting from scratch, our team can help you look through what is available and point you toward the right next step for your space.

Fruit tree inventory is limited and may change as the sale continues. If fruit trees are the reason you are coming, do not wait until the final hour on Saturday.

30% Off Fall Home Décor

Fall has taken over McMillan’s, and fall home décor is 30% off through Saturday. This is the part of the store for the people who start decorating the second September shows up on the calendar and for everybody who suddenly realizes Thanksgiving is getting closer.

Our seasonal selection includes pieces for porches, kitchens, tables, living spaces, gift giving, and everyday fall decorating. Because seasonal inventory changes constantly, many pieces are limited. When a favorite disappears from the display, it may be gone for the season.

If you have been searching for fall décor in Bogalusa or want to decorate your home without making a trip out of town, stop in and see what is still available during the sale.

30% Off Clothing and Shoes in the McMillan’s Boutique

The boutique side of McMillan’s is one of the reasons customers can spend a lot longer here than they planned. During the Customer Appreciation Sale, clothing and shoes are 30% off.

Along with women’s clothing and shoes, our gift shop and boutique regularly carry purses, bags, jewelry, candles, baby and children’s gifts, home décor, kitchen items, books and inspirational gifts, Swig cups, dip and soup mixes, and seasonal gift items. Inventory rotates, so there is usually something new to find.

If you are looking for a women’s boutique in Bogalusa, LA, a local shoe store, or a gift shop where you can browse several kinds of gifts in one stop, come through before the sale ends. This is also a smart time to pick up birthday gifts, hostess gifts, or something for yourself while the clothing and shoe discount is active.

10% Off Christmas Merchandise

Christmas has already started arriving, and Christmas merchandise is 10% off during the sale.

Some customers wait until after Thanksgiving. Some are already mentally arranging the tree before Halloween. We have room for both. If you like getting an early start on holiday decorating or gift shopping, this is a chance to browse what has arrived and save while the Customer Appreciation Sale is running.

More Than a Nursery: Gifts, Boutique Finds, Landscaping, and Local Service

McMillan’s Nursery & Gifts brings the garden center, gift shop, boutique, and seasonal shopping experience together in one locally owned Bogalusa business.

On the garden side, customers can shop trees, shrubs, plants, soils, mulches, pine straw, chemicals, and other landscaping supplies. McMillan’s also offers landscaping services and flower bed maintenance for customers who need help beyond purchasing materials.

Inside, the gift shop and boutique give you a completely different reason to browse. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, purses, candles, home décor, kitchen pieces, baby gifts, books, Swig cups, food mixes, and gifts for all kinds of occasions share space with seasonal collections that change throughout the year.

McMillan’s also offers bridal registries and specialty gifting. Bridal Registry items are excluded from this Customer Appreciation Sale, but our registry department remains available for couples and shoppers who need help with an active registry.

Why Shop Local in Bogalusa?

Shopping local keeps your dollars connected to the community you live in. It supports the people who unload the plants, water the greenhouse, arrange the displays, unpack the boutique shipments, answer questions, help you find a gift, and remember the customers who come back season after season.

For McMillan’s, “customer appreciation” is not a marketing phrase pasted onto a flyer. We know the only reason a locally owned business gets to celebrate 27 years is because people keep walking through the door.

That is why this sale stretches across both sides of the business. Garden customers can save. Boutique shoppers can save. Fall decorators can save. Early Christmas shoppers can save. It is our way of opening the doors a little wider and saying thank you to the community that has kept McMillan’s growing.
